Costa Rica Elopements was created by two of the top wedding professionals in Costa Rica: Aimee Nicole Monihan-Greening, founder of Tropical Occasions and Juan Carlos Solano, founder of Costa Rica Wedding Photography Studio.

After having worked on more than 200 weddings together the two of them spoke about how some couples really were stressed by having to plan the details of their wedding day and simply just wanted to get married. For many couples, going online and having to go through all the rigmarole of finding a coordinator, sending photos of a bouquet you want, looking at endless photography web sites, and having to pick that perfect spot is simply more than enough stress for some. Costa Rica Elopements is for the couple that wants to escape the wedding rat-race and simple go to paradise to share their love.

The web site was designed in the hope that each couple could visit the site just once and choose all the details of their day in one visit.

Both married, Aimee and Juan Carlos choose to have both styles of weddings.

Aimee   Juan Carlos       Aimee who after seeing over 400 couples weddings, chose to elope to Scotland and have a simple day surrounded by just immediate family. “I knew with my perfectionist personality that if I had a big wedding I would have had way too many details to manage and I would not have been relaxed. My weddings day was a perfect simple affair that was about what a wedding should be, me and my husband”.   Juan Carlos had a large wedding on a beautiful white sand beach in Costa Rica. While his wedding really helped him to see so many valuable lessons - especially with regards to photography, it also had both him and his wife stressed with all that they had chosen to take on. “Our wedding day was beautiful and straight out of a magazine. However both my wife and I were absolute stress-cases.
